You find yourself walking through your local toy store and stumble upon stacks upon stacks of small, three and a half inch, adorable oval shaped plushies. But there is something… different about them. Then you realize… those aren’t Tsum Tsums!

Many different toy brands have caught on to the Tsum Tsum craze that has overcome young and young at heart collectors all over the world. You know what they say, that “imitation is the sincerest form of flattery,” but in the toy world, imitations of Tsum Tsums are a way to turn a profit. Even companies such as TY have created their own lines of Beanie Babies closely resembling Tsum Tsums. TY’s imitation Tsums are called Teeny TY. TY has also produced Teeny TY from popular non-Disney films and franchises, such as The Secret Life of Pets, Spongebob Squarepants and Ninja Turtles.

The merchandising team for Peppa Pig, a popular children’s show, has also produced Peppa Pig’s Stack & Play. These guys also bear a close likeness to the little Tsums we know and love.

Some call them “knock-offs” others may say they are “rip-offs,” but you have to admit that some of them “TSUM-posters” are pretty cute too! I’ve even bought a few from Japanese novelty stores.

Can you find the “TSUM-posters” in the photos of my personal collection?

What do you think of these “TSUM-posters?” Have you added any unofficial Tsum Tsum friends to your own collection?
