Today’s finally the day! The new Beauty and the Beast live-action film is officially released. I don’t know about you, but I have been waiting for this release since it was first mentioned. Beauty and the Beast is one of my favorite classic Disney movies, so of course, I will be seeing it today.
Today is also the day that the Beauty and the Beast Plush Tsum Tsum Set has been released online at the Disney store in the U.S.
This set comes with 8 mini tsum tsums and an adorable Sultan the footstool tote to carry them in. The characters include Belle, the Beast/Prince, Cogsworth, Lumiere, Fifi, Mrs. Potts and Chip in their human form, and Sultan as the dog.

To celebrate the film’s release, I have comprised a list of 5 facts that you may not have known about the original Beauty and the Beast:
Three of the film’s songs were nominated for an Oscar.
The Beauty and the Beast’s title song took home the oscar for “Best Original Song” in 1992. Two other songs from the film that were also nominated were, “Be Our Guest” and “Belle”.
2) The Beast is a mix of different animals.
Glen Keane, an animator for the film, drew inspiration for the Beast’s appearance from various animals. The Beast has the mane of a lion, head and horns of a buffalo, brow of a gorilla, tusks of a wild boar, legs and tail of a wolf, and the arms and body of a bear.
3) The last dance between Belle and the Prince is a reused animation.
The reused animation comes from Sleeping Beauty and is the last dance between Princess Aurora and Prince Phillip.
4) Belle is the oldest Disney princess.
Unlike the other princesses who are teenagers, Belle is considered to be in her 20’s.
